The Alabama Crimson Tide have now won ten straight against the Tennessee Volunteers following a 49-10 victory at Neyland Stadium

Nick Saban's team are now 7-0 this season and dominated the game from start to finish, rushing for more than 400 yards, while holding the Vols to 32 yards on the ground.

Tennessee now drop to 5-2 this season, with Butch Jones' unit having lost twice in the last seven days.

Hurts leads Bama to big half-time lead

An undermanned Tennessee defence were no match for Alabama's high-powered offence and were duly gashed for 438 yards on 49 rushing attempts, with Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts finding his way into the endzone on three occasions. The 438 rushing yards were the most Alabama have put up since the 1986 matchup between these two sides when they carried the ball for 451 yards.

Hurts was too quick once he got to the outside, and as well as passing for 143 yards, he picked up 132 with his feet to lead the Crimson Tide to the big win.

Alabama's first touchdown came with Hurts as the leading blocker for wide reciever ArDarius Stewart who scampered home from 29 yards on an end-around.

The lead was then doubled at the end of the first quarter, with Ronnie Harrison intercepting Josh Dobbs and taking it to the house from eight yards inside his own territory.

Tennessee's Derek Barnett forced a Hurts fumble, which Alvin Kamara quickly turned into six for the home side's first touchdown, but Bama were back on the board with their next possession, when Hurts ran 45 yards down the right touchline for his first touchdown.

Bama run all over Tennessee to claim one-sided victory

All season, Tenessee's best performances have come after half-time, but unfortunately for the 100,000+ in attendance at Neyland Stadium this didn't materialise against an Alabama side who have now won 19 consecutive games.

Hurts ran for a pair of third quarter touchdowns to stetch the lead out to 35-10 as Saban's team started to take complete control of the contest.

The number one ranked side in the country didn't take their foot off the pedal, and added two fourth quarter scores which came from inside their own territory on both occasion.

Firstly, Eddie Jackson followed his blocks perfectly to return a punt 79 yards for a touchdown, with Bo Scarbrough capping the win with a 85 yard touchdown run which was reminiscent of Derrick Henry who collected last year's Heisman while donning the Crimson uniform.

Alabama ended the game having put up 594 total yards in comparison to 163 from the home team, which will only enforce many people's opinions that they are the favourites for another SEC title.

Next week, Alabama travel to College Station to take on an unbeaten Texas A&M side who defeated Tennessee last week, while the Vols have a bye week before travelling to face the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia.
