Tunisia is going through a rough patch

The 2004 champion team of the African Cup of Nations, in this tournament has not had a very good time since only a victory with four goals in favor, gave them the pass to the round of 16, without being able to score against their other two rivals, they will face a difficult Nigeria, but this tournament is full of surprises and that is what this team is looking for.

Nigeria a strong selection

The Nigerian national team has established itself in recent decades as one of the strongest in its confederation, having qualified for six of the last seven World Cups and possibly one more if they manage to qualify for Qatar 2022, so in this African Cup they are one of the favorites to win the title.

Watch out for this Tunisian player

Khazri, center forward plays for St-Étienne of the Ligue 1, the experienced player in this African Cup of Nations is the top scorer of the Tunisian national team with two goals, scored in the match against Mauritania, as it was the only match where they scored a goal, for the match against Nigeria he should bring his experience as a striker to open spaces and generate dangerous arrivals.

Watch out for this Nigerian player

Iheanacho, Leicester City's center forward, is one of the most promising strikers in the Premier League, with more than 64 goals at club level he has become a reference in Nigeria's attack in the current tournament, with just one goal in the African Cup of Nations, the clash against Tunisia is his chance to score and add to the list of scorers.

Tunisia to take advantage of its lucky break

The Tunisian national team started the tournament in a bad way losing against Mali 1-0, their performance improved when they beat Mauritania 4-0, however they lost again against Gambia, Tunisia expected a combination of results that for the good of them was given and allowed them to reach the round of 16 of this tournament, the keys to beat Nigeria is in how focused they can be in defense as it is a team that usually attacks regularly, They will also have to sharpen their aim since the Mauritania team could not score a single goal, which indicates that it was a very inferior team to the rest of the group, and in their other matches Tunisia could not score a goal, the game looks very uphill for this team, they only have to take the game so that the Nigerian team despairs and loses the rhythm.

Nigeria on perfect pace to advance further

The Nigerian team started the tournament facing a great rival, Egypt, the duel was dominated by Egypt in possession but Nigeria was who generated more danger in the area, Iheanacho opened the scoring in the first half and that was enough to take the victory against the team led by Salah, their two games against Sudan and Guinea-Bissau, ended in easy victories, so the Nigerian team finished as leader of group D and as the best team of the group stage with nine points out of nine, the Nigerian national team is emerging as one of the favorites to win the championship and not only the good performances support it, the team has great players like Iheanacho, Ndidi, Chukwueze, among others, Nigeria will face Tunisia a rival that did not do well in the group stage but the rules allowed them to play in the round of 16, although it seems an easy opponent, they should not be confident because a mistake could leave them out in what could be their tournament.
