FULL TIME
As it happened: Aston Villa 2-2 West Bromwich Albion
Signing Off
Thanks for watching this game with me. An intriguing one for a neutral but disappointing for West Brom fans, to lose all three points right at the end.
Full Time Thoughts
Both sides had periods of domination and there arguably should have been more goals in the game. If Villa played like they did for the last 15 minutes, they would of won the game. If West Brom played like they did in the first half, they would have easily stayed up. Every Villa fan will be so happy to see Davis scoring and Wesley back. Might be too much for Allardyce's side now to survive but there were some encouraging signs.
FULL TIME: Aston Villa 2-2 West Bromwich Albion
Keinan Davis' first goal in 55 appearances means both sides will go home with a point.
94' Good save from Johnstone
McGinn sends a rasping shot towards Johnstone who gets down well and makes an expert save yet again. Probably the last chance.
93' Wesley goes close
Elmohammady whips a cross in and picks out Wesley. His header is good but saved by Johnstone.
92' GOAL FOR ASTON VILLA!!
Keinan Davis gets his first ever Premier League goal. Bartley is waiting for Johnstone to come for the ball and Davis gets in between them to knock it into the net for 2-2. Huge goal for the striker!
4 Minutes added time
The referee has added on a minimum of four added minutes at the end of the half.
90' Substitution for Aston Villa
After 16 months out Wesley comes onto the field, replacing Traore
89' Poor from Villa
Looking for a late equaliser, Villa are throwing the kitchen sink at the Albion defence. McGinn sends a cross in from near enough the half way line which sails out for a goal kick
86' OFF THE POST AGAIN!
The ball bounces around the box. Mings goes down to no avail but Davis gets a shot off and blasts it off the post. So close to his first ever Premier League goal
86' Substitution for West Brom
O'Shea is on to replace Maitland-Niles in a defensive minded change.
83' Davis off the bench into the action
Davis is brought on, replacing Barkley. He receives the ball to feet, turns on it and strikes a weak effort straight at Johnstone.
81' McGinn shot from range
Villa break forward and look to counter, McGinn picks up the ball and shoots from very far out. The shot drifts wide and is a wasted attack.
78' Aston Villa substitution
Douglas Luiz is replaced by Ramsey in an attacking change by Dean Smith.
76' Another great Martinez save
Phillips gets away very easily and picks out Pereira, he takes a shot first time which produces a quality save from Martinez.
73' Nearly an own goal but an unbelievable save!
The ball comes off Konsa and hits the post and looks sure to be going in, Martinez some how keeps it out with one of the saves of the season.
70' Watkins has to score
He gets in behind the Baggies defence and into the box. He goes for pure power but hits it straight at Johnstone who saves with ease. Poor from the Villa striker.
69' Chance for Watkins
Barkley finds Watkins who tries to roll Townsend but the defender sticks to his task and does well.
67' Substitution for West Brom
Phillips replaces Robinson for the away side
66' Chance wasted by Traore
Villa overload down the right hand side but Traore goes alone and sends a curling shot well wide of Johnstone's goal. Very poor.
62' Off the post from Traore
McGinn lays the ball off to Traore who is forced to the bye line by Townsend but he gets a shot off but can only find the outside of the post.
61' Big save from Johnstone
El Ghazi whips a cross in which is headed away as far as Elmohammady who smashes it on the volley but Johnstone gets across to make a great save. Villa dominating now.
58' Nearly another own goal
Barkley takes a low shot at goal. The ball comes off Bartley but goes wide luckily for Albion. So close to 2-2.
55' Chance for Villa
Targett's cross find Elmohammady at the near post who's flicked header goes past the post. Better from Villa but they need to continue this way
54' Big chance for Diagne
Bartley finds himself far forward and gets a cross in. The low ball is just too far ahead of Diagne who can't reach it.
53' Awful from Villa so far this half
Misplaced passes and silly fouls given away constantly so far this half. Not good enough from Dean Smith's side.
47' GOAL FOR WEST BROM!
Konsa slips and Diagne gets away. Mings is isolated and goes to challenge the striker. The strike is deflected off Mings and into the net. A defensive calamity from Villa, perfect start for West Brom
KICK OFF
The second half is underway.
Half time thoughts
Two controversial penalties for both sides have been the main talking points. Johnstone and Martinez have made multiple saves to keep their sides in the game. Both managers will hope for more cutting edge in the second half.

44' Chance for Watkins
El Ghazi floats a ball towards Watkins who gets up and reaches the ball but his header is straight at Johnstone yet again.
42' OFF THE BAR
Pereira looks as if he is going to cross the ball from a free kick. He curls it towards the far post and is so unlucky to see it smash the bar. So close to 2-1 to the Baggies
40' Big chance and a good save
Pereira does so well to get out from the corner and put a cross in. He finds Maitland-Niles with time and space but Martinez makes a good save.
36' More penalty shouts

Targett gives the ball to Barkley who comes inside and looks to whip the ball into the near post. Johnstone reads it and makes an easy save.
31' Chance for Traore
A cross into the box from Targett picks out Traore who somehow gets to it and his shot goes very close from a tight angle.
29' Close from range by El Ghazi
El Ghazi goes for it from range and so nearly finds the bottom corner. His powerful drive is well saved by Johnstone low to his right hand side.
27' Huge chance for Yokuslu
A pitch perfect ball from Pereira picks out the Turkish midfielder who heads very narrowly wide. Close from the away side who are coming into this one
23' GOAL FOR WEST BROM!

22' PENALTY FOR WEST BROM!
Konsa is fuming here as Maitland-Niles goes down after what looked like minimal contact. The referee gives it and Pereira is over this one but VAR will take a look..
20' Very congested in the middle of the park
It's been a scrappy last few minutes with neither side really getting a proper foot on the ball. Both managers will want better from their side.
15' Good play from Villa
Watkins, Barkley and El Ghazi all link up and go through on goal but Barkley is adjudged to be narrowly offside. Better from the loanee.

He loves a goal against the Baggies does El Ghazi. He cooly slots the ball into the bottom corner as Johnstone dives the wrong way. What a start for the hosts!
