Stoke City boss Mark Hughes as alluded that he may give new signing, Peter Osaze Odemwingie his stoke debut tonight when they face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

“He needs to take a few boxes in terms of work permit and re-applying to whatever but we don’t anticipate any problem with that”

“That should be completed hopefully to give me the option of involving him against Sunderland if we can” Hughes said in his pre-match press conference.

The Nigerian international completed his switch from Cardiff after a swap deal was agreed by both clubs with Kenwyne Jones moving in the other direction. It is reported that Odemwingie signed an 18-month contract at Britannia.

Odemwingie only joined Cardiff in the summer penning a 2-year contract worth £2.25 million and made his debut in Cardiff’s 0-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Stoke City are 16th on the table with just 5 wins in 22 games this season and boss Mark Hughes will hope that the former Lille of France forward will give the team some push as the fight to stay up in the EPL continues.
