Besiktas manager and former West Ham defender Slaven Bilic has denied rumours that he will take over at Upton Park next season.
He is one of the favourites to succeed Sam Allardyce in the summer as his future is still uncertain with the end of his West Ham contract imminent.
Bilic said: “I do not know who keeps spreading the West Ham link but I can tell you I am not in talks with the club.”
The 46-year-old who made 48 appearances in his one year at the Hammers is known by many for his managerial period with the Croatian national side from 2006 to 2012, and has been at Besiktas since 2013. It has been a decent season for his side who currently sit third in the Turkish Super Lig just three points by leaders Galatasaray.
He added: “My future will be decided at the end of the season with Besiktas. I am very pleased with the work I do, and think I do my job well. I have not received an offer from anyone.”
Allardyce is under increasing pressure at West Ham after a late Stoke goal cost them another three points, they have only gathered 12 points since Christmas and if it wasn’t for their earlier run of form they could have been in trouble.
A mid-table finish is all but certain owners David Gold and David Sullivan will decide whether to hand Allardyce a new contract or look to move him on.
