Zaha Once again a live-wire

Ivorian winger Wilfried Zaha once again proved to be an issue for the Cherries defence, as he crafted the first opportunity of the game, as he released a shot which went just over Aaron Ramsdale's goal in the 10th minute.

13 minutes later, Zaha was central to the Eagles second goal, as he waited for full-back Patrick Van-Aanholt to make his overlapping run, before the Dutchman pulled the ball back into the box for Jordan Ayew to score his ninth goal of the season.

The skipper proves his worth from dead-ball situations

Palace captain Luka Milivojević opened the scoring in the 12th minute from a free-kick 25 yards which was perfectly placed, despite Ramsdale's best efforts.

This goal marked his third of this current Premier League season, all of which have come from dead-ball scenarios. Both of his previous two goals were penalties, which came against Norwich and Arsenal respectively.

A comfortable game for the eagles

The second half wasn't near as eventful as the first. VAR was called into action to review a tackle Gary Cahill had made on Bournemouth striker Josh King. The conclusion was no red card, although King had to be substituted due to his injury

The only true opportunities Bournemouth had towards Vicente Guaita's goal was when Junior Stanislas unleashed a shot which went comfortably past the Spaniard's goal.

Dream a dream of European football

This result puts Palace in 9th place in the Premier League table, within touching distance of teams who also aspire to reach European Football, the likes of Sheffield United and Wolves.

Despite a tough run of fixtures, should Palace pick up a few points here and there, whilst they hope certain results go their way, Palace fans dream of bringing a European competition to Selhurst Park,
