Bournemouth have wasted no time at all, bringing in new players ahead of their first season in England's top flight. Artur Boruc, Adam Federici and Joshua King were all signed with days after the Premier League season had wrapped up.
Today, Bournemouth sealed another big move as they announced a season-long loan for Christian Atsu from Chelsea. The Ghanaian winger spent the season with Everton where he rarely featured but the 23-year old should make an impact on the newly promoted side.
Atsu has spent time at Porto, Vitesse and Everton so far in his short career but the Cherries may be his first real chance at proving himself in a top league. Eight goals in 39 appearances for Ghana and being named Player of the Tournament at the recent African Cup of Nations has helped Atsu gain recognition and a successful season under Eddie Howe will only increase any interest in the player.
Eddie Howe spoke of Atsu's potential and told the club website: "I think he will bring pace and ability to beat a man one-v-one which is very important in the Premier League, so for all those reasons I think he is a great signing for us."
