Bournemouth let go of a 2-0 lead at the Vitality Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur went on to be victorious on the South Coast. A Kieffer Moore brace put the Cherries in control against Antonio Conte's side. However,  goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Ben Davies, and a last-minute winner from Rodrigo Bentancur shattered Gary O'Neil's side, who have now lost their last three Premier League matches.

O'Neil to the AFC Bournemouth website: "I'm devastated for the boys, they put in so much against a very good side. The nature of the goals is tough. They didn't deserve to lose the game the way they did"

Speaking on Kieffer Moore: "We thought he would cause Spurs some problems in their penalty area and he did. He was excellent and the lads utilised him really well, which is obviously a positive, but gutted we didn't get anything from it"

Moore, who stands at 6 ft 5, scored in the 22nd and 49th minutes to put the home side 2-0 up. It was the Welshman's third league goal of the season, after being limited to game time so far since O'Neil has taken over. The Striker also spoke to Bournemouth's official website:

  • Keiffer Moore:

"Disappointed, it's a tough one to take

"Having been out the side and to come back in today, (the game) really showed what I can do and getting two goals I'm buzzing, but ultimately I wanted three points and we haven't got that

Bournemouth remain 14th after the defeat, and Gary O'Neil will be expecting a response from his team, despite a positive performance from the Cherries.

O'Neil: "Proud of what the boys produced, there's obviously a gulf(in class) between the two teams, I think we managed to close that gap for large parts today, so really proud of that, but disappointed the boys don't get any reward for it."

The Bournemouth caretaker boss said his team "need to correct the things we didn't like today" ahead of their visit to Elland Road next week, where they face a Leeds side who will be high in confidence after their impressive win over Liverpool in the evening kick-off.

O'Niel's side will then face back-to-back games against Everton in the EFL Cup and Premier League, as the Cherries will look to build some form in their next few matches.
