Monk, however, will disheartened by the manner in which his side crumbled after Giroud had edged his side infront.

Attention now shifts towards midweek when they travel to Munich.

Emphatic victory from the Gunners in spite of their lethargic first-half display.

Full-time: Swansea City 0-3 Arsenal. Goals from Giroud, Koscielny and Campbell seperate the sides.

92': Substitution for Arsenal: Özil off, Iwobi on.

91' - CHANCE FOR ARSENAL: Fabianski thwarts Özil's effort. Clever disguise from the German.

Four additional minutes!

89': The Swansea fraternity resigned to defeat as they begin to flood out of the exits. A disheartening second-half display, especially after their encouraging first period showing.

88': Williams booked for a cynical tug on Alexis.

87': But City regain the lead via Yaya Toure.

85': Elsewhere in the Premier League, Cameron Jerome has equalised for Norwich at the Etihad ergo, as it stands, Arsenal sit alone atop the Premier League table.

84': Substitution for Swansea: Gomis off, Eder on.

84': Substitution for Swansea: Ki off, Britton on.

83': Substitution for Arsenal: Giroud off, Chambers on.

78': Another threatening transition from Arsenal culminates in Campbell skewing an effort wide.

78': Substitution for Swansea: Barrow on, Montero off.

77': Marauding run from Ashley Williams who draws fingertips from Cech.

73': Flattering on Arsenal, perhaps, though they've been a much improved outfit after the interval.

73': A quick one-two punch from the visitors. Özil strokes a lovely cross into the path of Campbell at the far stick, who steadies himself and blasts past Fabianski. The three points are surely heading back to the capital.

GOALLLLLL!!!!! FOR ARSENALLLLL!!!! CAMPBELLL!!!!!!

69': A brave call from the referee who may, on another day, have given the benefit of doubt the goalkeeper. Nevertheless, Arsenal double their advantage.

68': Fabianski is left seething. The Pole rushes out to collect an innocous delivery from the left but Koscielny wins the aerial battle and strokes into an empty net.

GOALLLLLL!!!! FOR ARSENAL!!!!!! KOSCIELNY!!!!!

64': A half-chance for the visitors. Koscielny ghosts into the penalty area and his header falls at the feet of Alexis, but he cannot divert his attempt towards goal.

56': Ki booked for a tug on Giroud.

54': Ayew rounds Cech but the linesman raises his flag. Remarkably, Bellerin is still able to get round and clear the Ghanian's effort off the line.

53': Swift counter-attack from the Gunners, but Alexis' end-product leaves a lot to be desired.

48': Non-existent marking from the Swans. Giroud peels off Williams from an Özil corner and directs his header into the far corner. Arsenal's 2000th goal under Wenger and it's enough to break the deadlock at the Liberty Stadium.

GOALLLLLL!!!!! FOR ARSENALLLLL!!!! GIROUD!!!!!!!

Second-half is underway! No changes from either side.

Expect stern words from Wenger at half-time. His side have clearly not been at the races, with Alexis Sanchez struggling to impose himself out on the left.

A slightly subdued opening 45 minutes. Arsenal have created little, Giroud's opportunity notwithstanding. Swansea look the more menacing side and may be left to rue Gomis' profiligacy.

Half-time: Swansea City 0-0 Arsenal.

44': Giroud writhing in agony after a seemingly innocous challenge. A worrying sight for Arsene Wenger.

41': Alexis Sanchez yet to stamp his authority on proceedings.

34': Gomis pilfers possession from Cazorla in midfield. A lacklustre opening half hour from the Gunners.

31': Montero picks out Shelvey with a delightful centre, but the midfielder heads over. Ominously for Wenger, Montero's influence seems to be growing.

27': Arsenal, though, are leading in attempts.

25': Chances have been at a premium during this opening quater of an hour. And right on cue, Gomis tests Cech with a header after some lovely work from Montero.

22': Lovely cameo from Campbell, there, who slaloms his way through several Swansea challenges and releases Bellerin, but Fernandez intercepts.

20' - CHANCE FOR SWANSEA - Swift transition from the Swans. Shelvey liberates Gomis through on goal but the Frenchman dawdles with only Cech to beat Bellerin recovers in time.

14': Bellerin triumphs in his first duel with Montero, shielding the ball out of play as the South American attempted to skip past his presence.

10': An elegant turn of pace from Özil engenders a promising counter-attack for the Gunners. But Coquelin overhits a pass to Alexis and the move fizzles out.

7': Swansea fail to deal with Campbell's cross but Monreal flashes his effort across the face of goal.

5': It's Swansea, though, who are hoarding the lion's share of possession. Yet to pierce through the Arsenal backline, however.

2': Arsenal stroking the ball around with assurance.

Kick-off!

The teams are out! Kick-off is moments away.

Joel Campbell makes his first Premier League start after four years in Arsenal's books. Olivier Giroud spearheads the attack in the absence of Theo Walcott.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal; Coquelin, Cazorla; Campbell, Özil, Alexis; Giroud.

Swansea (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor; Ki, Shelvey; Ayew, Sigurdsson, Montero; Gomis.

Team news will follow!

Gylfi Sigurdsson, as well, netted the decisive equaliser against the Midlands side. He had been jettisoned by Monk but should be restored to the line-up for the visit of the Gunners this afternoon.

But Andre Ayew's fruitful goalscoring form shows no signs of ebbing as he struck the winner -- coincedentally cancelling out his brother, Jordan, strike -- at Villa Park last week.

Bafetimbi Gomis has gone off the boil while Garry Monk is seemingly finding difficulty in constructing his ideal midfield trident. Jonjo Shelvey remains a constant, though Monk seems inclined to opt for Jack Cork over Ki Sung-Yeung.

Swansea, though, have been floundering themselves, with last weekend's victory over a flailing Aston Villa outfit their first win in six.

Giroud came off the bench to grab the opener against Bayern, while he also struck first against Everton last weekend. With Walcott sidelined, the onus is now on the Frenchman.

Encouraging, though, has been the form of Walcott's understudy, Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman is often lambasted for his inconsistency but few can fault the forward's contribution in recent weeks.

Theo Walcott has been ruled out for up to five weeks, per sources. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also joined Aaron Ramsey on the injury list when he limped off against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

But their midweek League Cup exit may plant a seed of doubt into the players' mind ahead of this afternoon's clash. So, too, will the mounting injury list.

Arsene Wenger's side have taken maximum points from their last four domestic outings and claimed a historic scalp against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

The visitors travel to Wales sharing top spot in the Premier League table with Manchester City. Swansea, meanwhile, lay 12th.
