2' Greece start the game on the front foot, playing some nice football inside the Ivory Coast penalty area but a low cross into the penalty area is easily handled by Barry

1' We are Underway in Fortaleza!

20.53. It is now time for the national anthems of Greece and Ivory Coast.

20.50. The two teams are in the tunnel and are ready to make their way out onto the pitch.

20.35. The three games so far at this venue have certainly provided entertainment for the fans. Costa Rica stunned Uruguay in the opening match, before Ocho goal keeping heroics secdured Mexico a point against Brazil and Ghana secured a suprise point against Germany.

20.30. Tonight's venue is the impressive Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza. This will be the final Group stage match for the Castelao, before hosting Sunday's last 16 clash between Mexico and Holland and a quarter final which will involve Brazil should they win their last 16 tie.

20.20. The Greeks have always been known for their defense and good headers of the ball have normally been a component of that. The Greek back line will need to be at its most solid this evening as Ivory Coast have only failed to score in one of their World Cup matches, and five of their last nine World Cup goals have been headers.

20.10. Tonight's fixture is the first ever meeting between Greece and Ivory Coast.

20.00. For Greece, Giorgios Karagounis is likely to win a 137th cap this evening. He looks set to replace Kostas Kastouranis, who is suspended following his sending off against Japan.

19.52. Gervinho has been a huge part of this World Cup for Ivory Coast, scoring in both the matches against Japan and Colombia.

19.49. Despite subtle hints that Drogba may start, Lamouchi has revealed little regarding his team selection. However one thing that is confirmed is that Gervinho WILL start.

19.46. Ivory Coat's talisman so far in the World Cup has been Didier Drogba, despite the former Chelsea man not actually starting a match in the first two group stage matches. However Sabri Lamouchi has  hinted that Drogba will start tonight.

19.35. Once again, Vavel's thoughts are with anybody in the Ivory Coast that has been affected by the floods.

19.34. The Ivory Coast has also been hit with recent floods so the country is certainly in desperate need for a positive Ivory Coast result and a first knockout stage appearance for the African side.

19.30. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ivory Coast manager Sabri Lamouchi said: "We hope we can do something positive for the people  back home to take their mind of it (the death of Ibrahim Toure) .

19.25. Ahead of our game tonight, tragedy will be a key motivation for the Ivory Coast. Brothers Kolo and Yaya Toure tragically lost their brother Ibrahim last week after a battle with cancer. Both Kolo and Yaya have decided to saty in Brazil with the squad and Vavel sends its best wishes and condolences to the Toure family at this tragic time for them.

19.17. There are certainly lots of permutations for tonight's match and remember you can also follow Japan v Colombia here on Vavel as well as every single match of this World Cup.

19.14. A Japanese victory and an Ivory Coast draw would leave Les Elephants sweating. A win by a two goal margin or more for Japan would mean that they would likely be the ones that go through ahead of Ivory Coast.

19.10. For Ivory Coast, a draw may be sufficient to qualify. If Japan fail to win and Ivory Coast avoid defat, the African side will qualify.

19.07. That though is providing that Japan fail to beat already qualified Colombia or better the Japanese victory by at least one goal.

19.05. Today's match is simply must win for the Greeks. They are bottom of C on just one point, but they will progress to the Last 16 with victory tonight against Les Elephants

19.00. Hello everybody, it's James Richmond here to bring you live coverage of Greece V Ivory Coast as Group C of the FIFA world cup reaches its conclusion.
