Whilst Wolverhampton Wanderers won their first game in three games on Sunday against Fulham, there was a number of positive performances from loanees elsewhere in the world.

Here are how them and their teams got on over the weekend.

Morgan Gibbs-White (Swansea City)

Another impressive performance by the Wolves academy graduate this weekend as Morgan Gibbs-White assisted Jake Bidwell’s opener in the second half.

Despite Tom Bradshaw’s equaliser five minutes later, Ben Cabango won the game for the Welsh side to lift them back into the Championship play-offs.

Gibbs-White, who was Man of the Match last week at Wycombe Wanderers, racked a 74% pass success rate at Liberty Way, whilst creating three chances.

Ryan Giles played 87 minutes in Birmingham on Friday evening as Coventry City were defeated 3-1 by AFC Bournemouth.

Jefferson Lerma put the Cherries into an early lead after seven minutes before Matt Godden equalised from the penalty spot before half-time.

However, a quickfire Dan Gosling double put Jason Tindall’s side ahead to continue their unbeaten start to life back in the Championship.

Leo Bonatini, Conor Ronan and Tote Gomes (Grasshopper)

In the Switzerland Challenge League, Grasshopper made it three wins in three on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 victory over FC Wil.

Tote Gomes played the full 90 minutes in Zurich in a defence that kept its second straight clean sheet, whilst Leo Bonatini was replaced after only 20 minutes by Shkelqim Demhasaj, who netted the opening two goals.

Connor Ronan came on at half-time, replacing Nuno Henrique with the side already 1-0 up.

Christian Herc (Karvina)

The Czech Republic side earned their first league victory since 29 August on Saturday as they won away at FC Zbrojovka Brno.

Christian Herc, like Giles, played 87 minutes for his side as goals from Kristi Qose and Tomas Ostrak lifted Karvina to eighth in the league.

Leonardo Campana and Bruno Jordao (Famalicāo)

Bruno Jordao started at right-back for the third time in a consecutive league game in Liga NOS as Famalicāo drew 1-1 with Rio Ave.

For Leonardo Campana, after making his debut for the Portuguese side last week as a substitute, he was handed his first start for Famalicão.

However, following his yellow card before the hour mark, he was replaced by Ruben Del Campo before Aderllan Santos equalised for Rio Ave with 12 minutes remaining.

James Pardington (Dulwich Hamlet)

In their first game back since the postponement of their 2019/20 season, Dulwich Hamlet defeated Corinthian-Casuals 3-1 on penalties following an entertaining 2-2 draw in the FA Cup.

The visitors, a level below Hamlet, took the lead through Kieron Cadogan on the brink of half-time before Korrey Henry equalised on 71 minutes.

With six minutes remaining, Casuals looked like they were going to progress to the Third Qualifying Round with a Benjamin Checklit striker.

However, Deon Moore's 88th minute equalised took the game to penalties, where James Pardington was the hero with two penalties saved.
