Full time

FT The referee signals for the end of the match and all in all, an expected and deserved outcome. Leicester were magnificent apart from a short spell in the first half. Maddison controlled the midfield, Justin was a load down the right hand side and Vardy does what he does. Brendan Rodgers will be very pleased.

A heartbreaking result for Sheffield United as, despite their lack of offense, they were somewhat competitive against one of the best teams in the league. The Blades remain bottom of the Premier League with just one point from 11 matches and don't look like escapiung it any time soon.

This is John Lupo saying thanks for following along and stay tuned for more coverage of this match right here at VAVEL. Take care, everyone.

Leicester score at the death!

90' Who else but Vardy? Fleck with a loose pass that comes to Maddison and he slots through for the number nine, who makes no mistake, beating Ramsdale and sending the Foxes back to Leicester with all three points.

Blades on the front foot

66' A rare passage of play that's controlled by the hosts. Basham sends in a fine ball that McBurnie attacks, but Evans deflects behind.

The ensuing corner sees McBurnie rise highest from 10 yards, but his header fails to hit the target. Disappointing result really.

HT We have reached the break and Leicester have dominated proceedings. Maddison has been superb, Justin has made some searing runs and the Foxes have had plenty of chances.

Sheffield United have played better than in recent weeks, but still find themselves on the back foot despite being level. It'll take an awful lot for the Blades to pick up their first win of the season.

Sheffield United equalize!

GOAL! 26' And just like that, we are level. If there's one area Leicester have struggled from, it's set pieces and it burns them again. Lundstram gets one in that McBurnie meets with his head that lacks power, but has excellent direction that is planted into the bottom corner past Schmeichel.

Leicester in the lead!

GOAL! 24' A deep cross that finds Albrighton and the former Aston Villa man sends a half-volley that deflects off of Lowe and goes to Perez. He sizzles one past Ramsdale  from 10 yards out to give the Foxes a deserved lead.

15' The former Norwich City man is controlling this match so far, although this attempt from 40 yards out is nowhere near.
15:522 months ago

Leicester continuing to pile on the pressure

13' It's been the Foxes who have been in control so far and Maddison curls one towards the far post that Ramsdale deflects for a corner.

Leicester hit the bar!

10' The visitors really should have taken the lead as Maddison gets it to Perez, who finds Vardy getting in behind Bryan. He blasts one that caroms off of the post.
15:232 months ago

Wilder assessment

The Blades manager was complimentary of the Foxes, stating "We'll look and assess Leicester as we have done everybody else. They're having a go aren't they? They're having a go off the pitch and they're having a go on it, so that's a perfect combination. They want to crack into that (the top six) and that's what they're trying to do. There's a whole host of football clubs trying to do that. They're a very well run, structured football club that have moved forward in every season."

Rodgers assessment

The Leicester boss spoke of Sheffield United, saying "I’ve watched a number of their games and they’ve been unfortunate. They’ve gone really close. You can see that honesty in their group and the work-rate in their group is still very much there. Of course, this is a league where you look to your next game, your next challenge, and it’s relentless, the level of this league. The confidence doesn’t look as though it’s been overly affected. They’re working hard and, like I say, we know it’s a tough game for us."
