Halftime
HT We have reached the end of the first half and Austria have dominated. Alaba has been fantastic and although Arnautovic has been wasteful, they look likely to grab another.
Ukraine are fortunate to only be down a single goal as they've offered little in the way of attack. They don't want to leave their qualification to the knockout stagers up to chance, but they'll need to significantly improve if they want to get something out of this game.
We'll be back for the second half shortly.
Another Austria chance!
45'+2 Zabarnyi allows a high ball to bounce and Sabitzer grabs possession, turns inside and unfortunately slips. He recovers brilliantly, still sliding while spinning on his arse to tee up Arnautovic, but with defenders between him and goal he has to try and force it at an angle, the shot going wide.
Added time
The fourth official signals for three extra minutes.
Austria nearly double their lead!
42' Unbelievable chance to make it 2-0. Sabitzer clips a really good pass down the right and in behind, Schopf tanking after it. In the middle, Arnautovic is up with him, and the low cross to pick him out is inch perfect!
Arnautovic can only jab it wide! How on Earth did he not score?
Austria substitution
33' Goal scorer Baumgartner is being replaced by Schopf.
Ukraine attack
29' Sharapenko squares Lainer inside the box then he lashes a shot seeking the far corner; Bachmann dives to shove away, getting just enough on it to avoid Yarmolenko’s desperate slide.
Austria looking for a second
24' Alaba again from a corner sends it in with Hinteregger going wide. It's all one-way traffic right now.
Netherlands in front
Meanwhile, in the other game in this group, the Dutch, already through, have a 1-0 lead over already-eliminated North Macedonia courtesy of Barcelona signing Memphis Depay.
Austria take the lead!
GOAL! 21' All that early pressure finally pays off as the fifth corner of the match results in the first goal. Another terrific delivery from Alaba picks out Baumgartner in the middle of the box and he extends a leg to poke the opener past Bushchan!
Ukraine near-fatal mistake
16' Ukraine are sloppy in possession and they lose the ball in a dangerous area. Arnautovic collects, moving across the face of the box to make room for a shot before shooting directly against Matviyenko.
