There were hardly any surprises as the Toppserien finished off it's 18th matchday. The top teams picked up three points while the bottom teams continued to struggle and look destined to be in the relegation zone for the rest of the season.

LSK and Avaldsnes make short work of their opponents

In a weekend where both of the top two teams were expected to win, they certainly lived up to those expectations. LSK Kvinner blew right past Arna-Bjørnar with an 8-2 win. Emilie HaaviAnja SonstevoldIngird WoldSherida SpitseIsabell HerlovsenLene Mykjaland all got on the score sheet while Anna Westerlund picked up a brace to give LSK eight goals on the day. Ine Wedaa scored her second and third goals of the season for Arna-Bjørnar but it did nothing to prevent the home side from picking up all three points.

Avaldsnes had no problems in their match either as they ran out as 3-0 winners against Klepp. Klepp were supposed to be a tougher opposition for Avaldsnes than Arna-Bjørnar was for LSK but the home side made short work of Klepp to try and keep pace with LSK. Hanna DahlMaren Mjelde and Elise Thorsnes were the goal scorers for Avaldsnes this weekend. Avaldsnes stay in second with a game in hand on LSK but with 46 points, they are currently seven off the league leaders as the Toppserien goes into the final stretch.

Urædd and Medkila can't find the points needed to move up the table

Urædd were up against a Røa side that had not picked up a win in three matches. Unfortunately for the home side, Røa had enough about them to pick up all three points this weekend as they came away from Urædd with a 2-0 win. Nora Byom-Nilssen and Elisabeth Jeppesen picked up the goals that gave Røa their win and allowed them to move closer to the top three teams in the league.

Medkila fared no better against Trondheims-Ørn as they went down to a 2-1 loss. Elen Melhus got the first goal of the game before Cecilia Nku leveled things up for Medkila. Maria Olsvik then got the game-winning goal which led to Medkila losing yet another game. Urædd and Medkila stay at the bottom of the Toppserien and are at least ten points away from moving away from the bottom.

Kolbotn stay in third while Sandviken moves into sixth

Kolbotn traveled to Stabæk in the hopes of staying in third and they managed to do so even though the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Neither team could find the back of the net though not for the lack of trying and it leaves them both in third and fourth respectively with Kolbotn on 36 points while Stabæk are on 34 points.

Sandviken faced up against Vålerenga as the away side hoped to secure enough points to stay in the first division for another year. A 2-2 draw ensured that Sandviken moved into sixth and that Vålerenga pushed themselves even further away from the relegation zone. Stine Andreassen scored two goals for Sandviken while Maijea Saari and Silje Blackstad scored the goals for Vålerenga.
