In what promises to be one of the games of the weekend in the Bundesliga, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim host VfL Wolfsburg at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday afternoon, looking to get their first win of the season.

Two sides with different styles of play

Julian Nagelsmann's side have been the great entertainers in the league to date but they have only managed to get two points from their opening two games. They started with a 2-2 draw at home to RB Leipzig before a 4-4 draw last weekend away to 1. FSV Mainz 05.

The game against Mainz last week was truly unbelievable as Hoffenheim came from 4-1 down to draw 4-4. Mark Uth was the star for the home side on that day scoring a brace.

On the other hand, Dieter Hecking's side have made a very solid start to the season taking four points from their first two games. Last season's runners-up will be looking to be thereabouts again at the end of the season once again and they are going about it the right way at this early stage.

The Wolves started the season with a solid 2-0 win away to FC Augsburg before drawing 0-0 at home to 1. FC Köln last weekend. They are the favourites for the game just but it all depends on how they will perform on the day.

The home side in these games usually come away with the victory

In this fixture last season, Hoffenheim came out on top winning the game 1-0 with the winner that day being scored by former Leicester City player Andrej Kramarić.

It is a fixture in recent years that the home side has came out on top in as the hosts of these games have won four of the last five meetings.

Team news

In terms of injuries ahead of the game, the hosts go into the game with no players absent to injury or suspension. It will be interesting though to see what Nagelsmann does in terms of his defence as he has seen his team concede six goals in their opening two matches.

It could also be a game for some of their new signings to start showing what they are made of with former Leicester City striker Kramaric likely to lead the line from the front.

On the other hand, Hecking will be without two of his stars for the game as Vierinha and Joshua Guilavogui are both out the game due to injuries.

The key for the visitors during the game will be the strength they have added to their forward line during the summer in the form of Mario Gomez and Jakub Blaszczykowski. Both players have the experience to know how to perform in the Bundesliga but last time out they couldn't help the team win as they drew 0-0 against Cologne.
