After a midweek game of fixtures, the Damallsvenskan is racing to it's conclusion, with Sunday's round of games to see some sides play their third game in seven days.
The top two and running away with things, but the relegation battle is well and truly alive as we prepare for another crucial set of matches.
KIF Örebro - Kvarnsvedens IK
Sat eighth and nine respectively, six and four points above the drop, every game is a big one for KIF Örebro and Kvarnsvedens IK as they strive to keep their heads above water.
It's been a contrasting few weeks for the visitors. A four game losing streak was ended by a 2-1 win over Umeå IK, but followed up with an 8-0 thrashing at the hands of Linköpings FC.
They bounced back with a good result in midweek, holding third-placed Eskilstuna United to a draw, but their inconsistency has plagued them through the season.
Örebro also drew in midweek, albeit it was a much less helpful point as they level-pegged with 10th-placed Kristianstads. Without a win since a 4-0 thrashing of second-bottom Mallbackens IF four games ago, they will be hoping for Kvarnsveden's hit and miss ways to help them out on Sunday.
Piteå IF - Umeå IK
Umeå need to start picking up points and fast if they want to survive the drop this season. At the foot of the table with nine points from 15 games, they've lost their last four games.
This weekend's opponents are Piteå IF, whose only two defeats in their last eight games have come at the hands of the top two. They defeated Vittsjö GIK 2-1 last time out and boast a win by the same scoreline over Eskilstuna United in their recent results.
With the nine goals scored in their last five games coming from six different players, Piteå are playing brilliantly as a unit and completely free of pressure.
Simply playing for a highest possible finish, sat fourth but 15 points off of the top two, they will be the overwhelming favourites for the three points - though Umeå's fight to stay up has to start somewhere.
Vittsjö GIK - FC Rosengård
After an uncharacteristic slip up against Djurgårdens IF back in July, FC Rosengård know they cannot afford anymore mistakes if they want to win the league this season.
They currently top the table by a single point, but Linköping have a game in hand over the reigning champions. Anything but a win against Vittsjö could effectively hand their rivals the title.
They'll be happy to know that their hosts aren't in the greatest form then, with their only two wins from their last 14 games coming against rock bottom Umeå.
They have the ability to cause upsets - just ask Eskilstuna United, who fell victim to that earlier this season. However, with Rosengård needing to be ruthless, the outcome of this clash should be the obvious one.
Djurgårdens IF - Göteborg FC
Perhaps the most exciting clash on our hands this weekend sees fifth-placed Djurgården welcome sixth-placed Göteborg FC.
While neither have anything to play for - bar ensuring they have enough points to stay up, which shouldn't be a problem - both have been very competitive all season.
The visitors in fact almost dealt Rosengård an almighty blow in midweek, only for the league leaders to score a stoppage time winner to keep their title hopes well and truly alive.
The story was the same when Göteborg last faced Linköping too; with Stina Blackstenius' 86th minute effort denying them a well earned point.
Djurgården, meanwhile, have dented Rosengård's title charge in recent weeks after holding them to a draw, with both more than capable of competing with the top teams in this division.
They will have to reproduce those performances levels on Sunday to take three points from this fixture, with the quality and fighting spirit of both teams to give us an entertaining and too-close-to-call encounter.
Linköpings FC - Kristianstads
While Rosengård continue to plod along, Linköping have certainly been the more outstanding of the two title contenders this season.
Two 8-0 victories in their last eight games highlights that, with the star quality of Blackstenius and Pernille Harder looking likely to lead them to just their second Damallsvenskan title.
With 32 goals between them in just 15 games, the pair are fresh off the back of goals in a midweek win over Umeå and carry momentum into this clash with Kristianstads.
Every time the visitors have won a game this season, they have kept a clean sheet, which will give them confidence in terms of keeping Linköping at bay.
However, they have only won three of their 15 games, and it will take something special to take that total to four from 16 when they face the second-placed side on Sunday.
All signs point to a home win, though, sitting one place and three points above the drop zone, Kristianstad will be determined to defy that expectation.
Eskilstuna United - Mallbackens IF
Sunday's final fixture offers Eskilstuna United the chance to bounce back, with them facing second-bottom Mallbackens after a disappointing draw with Kvarnsveden in midweek.
Mallbacken, however, will be no easy task. With their Damallsvenskan status hanging in the balance, they need to end that four game losing streak as soon as possible.
Eskilstuna have had a poor season by their standards and have slipped up against some struggling sides, giving this weekend's visitors all the more reason to be confident of a result. Mallbacken were actually victorious in the reverse fixture as well, winning 2-1 on home soil.
With the hosts having nothing to play for, this game could produce Sunday's big upset.
