Solihull Moors’ hopes of making it four wins on the spin, will be tested as they travel to newly promoted side Gateshead FC this Saturday afternoon.

Gateshead will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday evening’s defeat away to Scunthorpe United, which ensured their second consecutive league defeat.

As for Solihull Moors, they will be full of confidence, after a routine victory against Maidenhead United in mid-week, as well as other victories against both Eastleigh and Basford United

  • Team News - Gateshead FC

The home side go into this weekend’s fixture, with no fresh injury concerns, but will be hopeful that three of their players return. Owen Bailey, Luke Daley and Paul Blackett all missed the game in the week through injury.

Therefore, the hosts will be praying that all three make their returns. Elsewhere, former Solihull Moors striker Adi Yussuf will be hopeful of keeping his spot in the starting eleven against his former side.

Solihull Moors will be boosted by the return of full-back James Clarke, following a one match ban. Callum Howe remains the club’s only known absentee, as he’s out with a knee injury for at least another week.

Midfielder Joey Jones will be hopeful of adding more match minutes, after making his debut for the club against Maidenhead, whilst the competition in goal between Ryan Boot and Louie Moulden continues.

  • Predicted Line-Ups

  • Players To Watch

Adam Campbell (Gateshead FC)

The home side do have some recognisable faces, but the standout player in the side at the moment is definitely their attacking midfielder Adam Campbell.

The 27-year-old is the club’s top goalscorer so far this season, scoring five goals as well as a handful of assists despite his side sitting 22nd in the table. Campbell has plenty of experience in the EFL, and will definitely be the danger man for the home side. Therefore, if Solihull Moors want to extend their winning run, he is one man that has to be stopped at all costs on Saturday.

Joe Sbarra (Solihull Moors)

Likewise, there are several players you could pick out from the visitors, but attacking midfielder Joe Sbarra is definitely one of the first on the list.

Sbarra has enjoyed an excellent start to the season, scoring four goals so far as well as providing several assists. As you can spot, it’s shaping up to be a game dictated by each sides forward’s players. Back to Sbarra however, he is a workhorse and will be a constant threat for the visitors throughout the game. He loves to get the ball down and run at defenders and if Gateshead want to bounce back they have to be at the top of their game’s.
